The agreement was signed by Acting Director of the APC, Dušan Drakić, and Director of Clinical Centre, Dr. Aleksandar Radović, PhD, MSc.
Through joint action, the two institutions are strengthening support mechanisms for whistleblowers in line with the Law on the Prevention of Corruption and European standards. The aim is to ensure efficient, comprehensive, and timely psychological support in situations when whistleblowers initiate legal protection proceedings and face certain pressures.
The Memorandum provides for cooperation in the following areas:
“Whistleblowers are key partners in the fight against corruption. With this agreement, we are making an important step toward systemic support for those who report suspicions of corruption – and we are sending a clear message that they are not alone,” said Drakić.
Dr. Radović emphasized that the Clinical Center of Montenegro, as the largest healthcare institution in the country, recognizes the importance of whistleblowers in preserving the integrity of society and the obligation of institutions to provide expert and professional support to those who expose themselves in the public interest.
The APC and the Clinical Center will continue their joint efforts in the coming period to develop an environment that encourages the reporting of irregularities and guarantees timely protection for those who report corruption.
