With the aim of establishing effective preventive anti-corruption mechanisms, the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption continuously develops regional and international cooperation, which it considers a key priority in its work, in line with its core legal competences as defined by the Law on the Prevention of Corruption (Article 82 of the LPC).
This cooperation includes fulfilling obligations arising from Montenegro's membership in key international and regional organizations that define, monitor, and evaluate the implementation of anti-corruption standards, as well as strengthening the administrative capacities of the Agency through support projects—also encompassing the capacities of public authorities and officials—to ensure the comprehensive and consistent enforcement of laws. The Agency achieves this through the regular exchange of relevant information and good practices in overcoming shared challenges with countries in the region and beyond, in the field of corruption prevention.
