The meeting focused on strategic cooperation between the Agency and French Expertise, as well as on the results achieved so far and future plans of cooperation in Montenegro.

It was organized ahead of a working session on the prevention of conflicts of interest, during which experts and Agency staff will finalize the Guidelines for establishing conflicts of interest of public officials, developed in line with obligations under the Anti-Corruption Strategy.

These guidelines will contribute to the modernization of existing procedures, the introduction of a clearer methodology, and the strengthening of professional standards in this field, serving as an important tool for building consistent and professional practice.

The event is part of broader activities implemented by the Agency with the support of French Expertise in Montenegro. Within this framework, the first comprehensive guidelines for monitoring and maintaining the register of politically exposed persons have been developed, and the Agency has also received two detailed expert analyses providing clear directions for further strengthening organizational and professional capacities.

The Agency for Prevention of Corruption will continue to develop and improve its mechanisms in cooperation with international partners, with the aim of strengthening public trust, enhancing transparency, and ensuring more effective prevention of corruption.
