Director of the APC, Jelena Perović, among the founders of the Southeast Europe Women Leaders' Good Governance and Anti-Corruption Forum

Thanking the organizers for the honor and respect shown, Director Perović expressed her willingness to share the knowledge and good practices implemented by the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, which can be useful for anti-corruption institutions in the region.

At the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia in charge of good governance policies, Slavica Grkovska, Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, Jelena Perović participated in the founding meeting of the Southeast Europe Women Leaders' Good Governance and Anti-Corruption Forum (SEE WGGALF) held in Skopje.

The event, to which the hosts devoted significant importance, was supported by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Among others, the meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the OSCE Helga Maria Schmid and the US Ambassador to North Macedonia Angela Aggeler.

Thanking the organizers for the honor and respect shown, Director Perović expressed her willingness to share the knowledge and good practices implemented by the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, which can be useful for anti-corruption institutions in the region. In addition, she shared her own experiences from the position of a woman who, even before taking on the extremely responsible and demanding role in the Agency, held high positions in the judicial system.

Director Perović, along with other participants of the Forum, signed a joint declaration stating that the activities of SEE WGGALF are "promoting and enhancing women's leadership in good governance and the fight against corruption and strengthening women's participation and voice in public affairs and in the private sector."
