July 4, 2025

As part of the 20th edition of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI) Summer School, participants of this prestigious regional program for young practitioners in the fields of anti-corruption and organized crime visited today the Agency for Prevention of Corruption of Montenegro.

During the visit, representatives of the Agency introduced the guests from Southeast European countries to its competencies, key activities, and achievements to date, particularly in the areas of preventive measures and international cooperation.

Experiences were also exchanged regarding challenges in institutional operations, as well as opportunities for enhancing efficiency in the fight against corruption.

The visit was conducted as part of the interactive Summer School program, held from 2 to 4 July 2025 in Podgorica, organized by the RAI Secretariat with the support of Austrian Development Cooperation, in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA).

The Summer School aims to provide young professionals from ministries, public prosecution offices, and anti-corruption bodies with additional training on international legal instruments – the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC) – as well as the mechanisms for their implementation and evaluation.

This activity is carried out within the project “Southeast Europe – Together Against Corruption II” (SEE-TAC II).

The Agency for Prevention of Corruption expresses its satisfaction at having had the opportunity to host the Summer School participants, thereby contributing to the shared regional goal of building more resilient institutions through education and knowledge exchange.
