Feb. 27, 2025

In order to enhance anti-corruption mechanisms through the exchange of best European practices, representatives of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption visited the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (STT) on February 25 and 26. This visit, organized under the auspices of EPAC (European Partners against Corruption), aimed to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions, with a particular focus on prevention and education in the field of anti-corruption efforts.

As a result of the meetings, it was agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation, which will enable direct expert support from the Lithuanian STT to the Agency for Prevention of Corruption. This will facilitate the continuous exchange of experiences in the implementation of preventive measures and control mechanisms, including innovative educational models and awareness-raising campaigns.

Regarding this initiative, Acting Director of the Agency, Mr. Dušan Drakić, stated:

"International cooperation is not just a formal obligation but a key resource for improving our anti-corruption mechanisms. By learning from the experiences of other countries and through partnerships with leading institutions, we are building a stronger system for integrity protection in Montenegro."

The Agency continues to strengthen its international network of partnerships, focusing cooperation on concrete solutions that will contribute to greater transparency, institutional strengthening, and raising public awareness of the importance of the fight against corruption. In the coming period, additional expert training and knowledge exchange are planned to build more resilient anti-corruption mechanisms in Montenegro.
