At today's session, the Council of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption discussed the Information on the activities of the Agency during the campaign for the local elections in Mojkovac, Petnjica and Cetinje, which will be held on December 5, 2021.

It was stated that the Agency systematically implements activities, in accordance with the adopted methodology and control and monitoring plan, with full cooperation with interested media, civil sector and especially law enforcement officers who seriously and professionally perform all legal obligations.

When it comes to activities related to the transparency of the use of public resources in the campaign, full transparency was provided, in accordance with the Law, by a total of 85 subjects to the Law published the necessary data and reports. So far, a total of 130 employment and engagement contracts and 47 decisions have been submitted, allocating funds from the current reserve.

In the area of ​​the control of the financing of political entities, the Agency regularly monitors all activities in the field and through the media, including the costs of these activities and the incomes from which they are covered.

So far, there have been no recorded costs for political entities. Eight accounts for the financing of the election campaign were opened by four political entities and nine reports were submitted. There were no reported incomes.

17 price lists of election advertising were submitted by the media, and no contract concluded with political entities has been submitted since the beginning of the campaign.

As a special activity in the control and monitoring the campaign, the Agency pointed out the monitoring of the participation of public officials in the election campaign and regular reporting to the public on that.

So far, three of the planned eight controls of the authorities on the field have been carried out, during which a direct inspection of the documentation monitoring the use of public resources by subjects to the Law has been carried out.

By the end of the campaign, controls of political entities are planned when it comes to funds collected and spent.

Within the second item on the agenda, the Council of the Agency determined the Draft Program Budget of the Agency for 2022, which is projected at the amount of 1,911,319.00 euros.

The process of planning and determining the funds needed for the work of the Agency for the next year was lead by planned development, guidelines for further institutional and personnel strengthening of the Agency, and the fact that elections are planned for next year in a number of Montenegrin municipalities.
