The Agency for Prevention of Corruption reminds that after the elections held on 30 August, new convocations of the Parliament of Montenegro and the Municipal Assemblies of Andrijevica, Budva, Tivat, Gusinje and Kotor were constituted.

The Agency will, in accordance with its competencies, verify the data related to the functions performed by public officials who took office on the basis of the election result, as well as whether they have fulfilled the obligations prescribed by the Law on Prevention of Corruption, which relate, inter alia, to submission of income and asset declarations or notifications to the Agency, and provision of accurate and complete data in the declarations.

The Agency will perform verifications for all officials who took office on the mentioned basis, including MPs and councillors, and adopt appropriate decisions in accordance with the established facts.
