The APC becomes a member of the International Anti-Corruption Network IAACA: Strengthening the global partnership in the fight against corruption

The first bilateral meeting between the APC and IAACA representatives was held today via video link, following the recent decision of the IAACA Executive Committee to grant the Agency provisional membership.

During the meeting, the Acting Director of the Agency, Dušan Drakić, presented the competencies, mission, and key activities of the APC, with an emphasis on the institution's role in strengthening integrity, transparency and accountability in Montenegro’s public administration. The Agency’s principled commitment to combating corruption — regardless of the status or position of those involved — was also highlighted.

IAACA representatives presented the Association’s structure and work, achievements from the previous year, and strategic initiatives planned for 2025. Both sides confirmed their readiness to intensify cooperation through knowledge exchange, expert support, joint projects, and alignment with international anti-corruption practices.

Full membership of the Agency in IAACA will be formalized at the General Assembly of the organization, scheduled for December 2025.

This membership further confirms the international relevance of the APC, as well as its clear commitment to the full implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).

IAACA was established in 2006 with the goal of strengthening the global fight against corruption and today brings together 184 institutions from around the world.

The APC remains open to all forms of domestic and international institutional cooperation that contribute to more effective corruption prevention.
