Leaders of the Agency participated in an international conference in Šibenik

The President of the Council of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Mr. Momčilo Radulović, and the Director of the Agency, Ms. Jelena Perović, together with their associates, participated in the international conference “A Culture of Integrity: Enhancing Prevention of Corruption”, held in Šibenik from May 22 to 24.

The event, which was organized by the Ministry of Justice and Administration of the Republic of Croatia in cooperation with the Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC), brought together ministers of justice from six Southeast European countries, high-ranking officials of the judiciary and public administration, directors of anti-corruption agencies, and representatives of international and regional organizations of the civil sector and the academic community.

Speaking at the panel discussion “Culture of integrity from national to international experience”, the directors of the Agency introduced the participants to the activities of the Council and management on the true structural, organizational and personnel reform of this institution.

In a socio-political context filled with challenges, the Agency made significant progress in relation to the public, the media and the civil sector, and significantly improved results and practice, which was recognized and praised by international partners. On a specific example, by resisting pressures and preserving independence, it was shown how strengthening the integrity of institutions promotes the rule of law, represents European values ​​and makes a full contribution to Montenegro's path to the European Union.

Apart from the representatives of the host country and Montenegro, officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and North Macedonia also participated in the conference in Šibenik.
