A fundamental segment of a legitimate and credible election process is transparency.

By dedicated action and application of its legal powers, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption made the campaign for the local elections held on October 23 fully transparent. This becomes more important when it is known that the campaign, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Financing Political Entities and Election Campaigns, lasted more than six months.

As part of the control of compliance with the restrictions on the use of state funds, the Agency collected data on the monthly spending of all budget units, both at the state and local levels.

The process of verifying that data is underway, after which the results will be publicly available.

Permanently committed to the protection of the public interest, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption will continue to make its full contribution to the integrity of the electoral process.
