The amount of funds that a political entity can spend on financing the election campaign in Mojkovac, Petnjica and Cetinje has been determined

Based on the jurisdiction from the Law on Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption has made decisions on the amount of funds that a political entity can spend on financing the election campaign for election of councilors in the Municipal Assembly of Mojkovac, the Municipal Assembly of Petnjica and the Assembly of the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje, which will be held on December 5, 2021.

The law stipulates that the maximum allowed amount must not exceed the amount of budget funds allocated for financing the costs of the election campaign, which are at the level of 0.25% of the planned current municipal budget.

The current budget of the Municipality of Mojkovac for 2021 is € 2,533,500, the Municipality of Petnjica € 1,059,446, and the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje € 4,345,550. As for the election campaign in Mojkovac (€ 6,333.75) Petnjica (€ 2,648.62), and Cetinje (€ 10,863.88), funds are allocated from municipal budget, which are at the same time the spending limits for the campaign by political entity.

Dedicated to transparency, credibility and legitimacy of the election process, the Agency will control the costs of political entities in the campaign, exercise substantive control over their activities, and in particular control funds raised from public and private sources, in accordance with the Law.
