Regarding the allegations of the non-governmental organization MANS concerning the actions of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption upon complaints from that NGO, the Agency announces the following:

Since the day of calling the parliamentary and local elections which will be held on 30 August 2020, the Agency has received 85 complaints by MANS for the establishment of violations of the Law on Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns. In all 85 mentioned cases, the Agency initiated the administrative procedure and issued first instance decisions in the shortest possible time in all cases where the conditions were met. So far, 23 first instance decisions have been issued, and in other cases the procedures are ongoing.

In addition, the Agency initiated 239 ex officio procedures against the authorities and 83 procedures for the collection of information and establishment of facts related to the services provided to political entities in the election campaign.

Regardless of whether the procedure has been initiated ex officio or upon a complaint, and regardless of who the complainant is, the Agency will terminate any initiated procedure in compliance with the provisions of the Law on Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns and the Law on Administrative Procedure, while respecting the rights of all participants in the procedures.
